Bespoke Made to Measure

If I have Made to Measure footwear, can I use the same last for all styles and heel heights?
A
Once the last is made, we can make virtually any style with this last but cannot change heel height.
Additional lasts can be made for different heel heights. This will involve an additional cost.

If I have Made to Measure footwear, will it allow for different sizes between my left and right feet?
A
Yes, the shoes will be made using the measurements you provide.

Care of your Footwear

Q
What maintenance do you recommend to ensure my footwear stays in good condition?
A
Leather footwear should be regularly polished with a good quality wax shoe polish.
With stiletto heels, replacing the heel tip before it is fully worn down will help prevent damage to the heel.

Do you do footwear repairs?
A
We can replace heel tips before they have been entirely worn down.

Care of your Hosiery

Q
How do you recommend caring for my hosiery to ensure my stockings stay in good condition?
A
We recommend that you take the time to put on and take off your stockings using cotton gloves, since this will reduce the risk of damage.
Your luxurious Fully Fashioned stockings should be hand washed in mild detergent and dried in a position to reduce creasing.

Is your footwear all leather?

The finest quality leather is used on our uppers (unless otherwise stated).
Linings and soles are made from top of the range synthetic materials (unless otherwise stated).

Most of our footwear is available in Leather, Patent Leather and Suede (unless otherwise stated).

Can I have shoes made to match my outfit?

If you send us a colour swatch, we will do our very best to match it as closely as possible.

Is it possible to have my own design made in any of your existing shapes?
A
Yes, we can work from drawings, photographs, sample shoes etc that you would like us to make for you. They would be made using our existing shapes and heels. This will involve an additional cost.

Do you offer footwear which compensates for problems with my feet?
A
We can do this within limitations but please note that we make fashion footwear not specialist orthopaedic footwear.
It is important that you appreciate we are not orthopaedic shoe makers and do not make corrective footwear.

Footwear Heel Heights and Types

What heel heights is your footwear available in?
A
Our footwear is available in 4 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch heels (unless otherwise stated).
Some platforms are additionally available in 7 inch heels.

Please note the following.
4 inch heels on footwear vary from 3 and 3/4 inches to 4 and 1/2 inches depending on size and style.
5 inch heels on footwear vary from 4 and 3/4 inches to 5 and 1/2 inches depending on size and style.
6 inch heels on footwear vary from 5 and 1/2 inches to 6 and 1/2 inches depending on size and style.
With Platforms, the heel size will range from 4 to 7 inches depending on size and style.

What heel types is your footwear avaiable in?

The heel type is either Stiletto or Betty Boo, as indicated on each individual product description.

Do you use metal or plastic heel tips on your heels?
A
We normally use metal heel tips (unless otherwise stated).

Q
How can I best select the heel height which is most suitable for me?
A
This is very much your own personal preference. If you are buying high heels for the first time, then we would recommend that you do not specify any higher than 5 inches. If the shoes are Gibsons, for example, which lace up and enclose your foot, or are boots which likewise enclose your foot and support your ankle, then wearing 5 inch heels will feel similar to wearing a 4 inch heel in a normal open court shoe. For this reason if you really want to try a 5 inch heel straight away, then we would advise that you select a shoe or boot which fully encloses around your ankle.

If you have worn stiletto high heels before and you know the ropes, then you don't really need to hold back and will know a 6 inch stiletto looks absolutely stunning on the foot. It is this appearance which really started the expression "killer heels". With high heels care should always be taken when walking and you should be aware that fashion shoes are designed primarily to achieve the look you want. Just as you would be very unlikely to wear trainers with a party dress, you would not wear high heels on a hiking trip!

Our footwear is hand made to your individual order by highly experienced and skilled craftsmen, and we aim to achieve the highest standards of quality which takes time. We are sure you will agree when you will agree when your footwear is delivered.

Our footwear is available in UK Sizes 3 to 12, including half sizes. Please see our Size Conversion Chart page for corresponding American, Euoropean and Japanese sizes.

What sizes are your Hosiery available in?

Our Fully Fashioned stockings are available in the following sizes
Small 4'9 - 5'3
Medium 5'2 - 5'10
Large 5'4 - 5'10
Extra Large 5'6 - 6'0

If you have a slim figure you should buy the smallest size for your height.
If you have a fuller figure you should buy the largest size for your height.

Please note that some hosiery styles and colours may only be available in certain sizes.
